It was a day to remember for the newly-formed Inveraray side who won their first league match, beating Ardnamurchan B 3-2 in their 1pm throw-up at Strontian.
Katie MacKay scored all three Inveraray goals, with Macy Morris and Hannah Collins replying.
Inveraray coach Ally Munro said: “The ladies did themselves proud with a thoroughly deserved win. The effort from everyone was superb.
“Despite going 1-0 down close to half time and against the run of play, we kept pushing forward and testing their defence.
“During the half time interval, we knew the pressure we had would tell and just had to keep doing the right things.
"Shortly after half-time, we got the goal our play deserved. Having the majority of the ball in the second half, we got our second goal to lead 2-1.
“Ardnamurchan grew into the game and grabbed a second of their own. Having dealt with a period of Ardnamurchan pressure, we got back into shape and got what would be the winning goal.
"Ardnamurchan were wonderful hosts. We thank them for their fantastic hospitality and wish them the best for their season.”
Starting line-up: Tracey Stark, Zoe Mckillop, Faye Smith Kerr, Dana Clarkson, Katie McKay, Jayne Young, Cara Blyth, Lauren Wood.
Subs: Paige Scott, Heather McGee.
Scorers: Katie McKay – all three goals.
