On a day that was predominantly sunny but with a gentle breeze, 12 Dunaverty Golf Club lady members took to the course on Saturday to take part in the rescheduled April Medal competition.
In the first group out, recent medal winner Fiona Neilson set a good pace for the remainder of the field with a gross 100 (nett 73) to take the lead.
This remained the case until Eleanor Hawkins, playing a very consistent round, carded a gross 92 (nett 66) to move to first place.
Despite valiant efforts by both Katharine Hardman, gross 80 (nett 68), and Katie Cappello, gross 89 (nett 67), neither was able to better Eleanor’s score.
Results: 1 Eleanor Hawkins 93-27=66, 2 Katie Cappello 89-22=67, 3 Katharine Hardman 80-12=68. Lowest gross: Katharine Hardman 80.
