There was no rugby in Mid Argyll last weekend, so the ladies’ development team took the opportunity to have a training session followed by a small-sided game.
The ladies’ squad is going from strength to strength, with growing numbers at training every week.
A spokesperson said: "The level of skill on display at the weekend was incredible for a squad that has only been training for a year.
"When the sessions started last May, it was mostly fitness with the occasional rugby exercise put in.
"Now the team does rugby training every week and have their next game coming up in two weeks’ time against a touring team from Sweden."
The squad is always looking for new members and anyone aged 17 or above can join in, with no previous experience necessary. If anyone would like more information, visit the club’s Facebook page.
Next week the club is holding free Easter rugby camps in Lochgilphead for P1-S6 ages, girls and boys. Please check the club’s Facebook page for details if you are interested in joining in.
On April 6, Mid Argyll men’s team play their final home game of the season against Irvine.
Irvine are almost guaranteed to win the league but Mid Argyll are aiming to upset the celebrations by claiming a final home win. Kick off time is 1.30pm at Ropework Park.
