This year’s Up The Close was a particular hit, with the welcome return, after nearly a decade, of indie rockers a new hope?
The band is replacing the festival parade which has been postponed this year as there were not enough floats and participants.
The quiz launched during MOK Fest resulted in entries from as far as Aberdeen, Stirling and Northern Ireland.
Many admitted they preferred the harder surface at Springbank underfoot to the grass at Kinloch Green.
It paid off, with a packed dance floor and many revellers proclaiming it to be ‘the best night out ever!’
The carnival-themed event kicks off at 12.30pm and spectators should expect enthusiasm and colour, with the recent rebrand aiming to promote the Campbeltown spirit.
Following Carni-West, on Saturday afternoon, go ‘Up the Close’ to the new open air location as it moves to the grounds in Springbank Distillery’s Well Close.
