Tarbert tried to play football but Busby was determined to make it a kicking match instead.
The reward for staying compact came toward the end of the first half as a Tarbert corner wasn’t cleared and young Scott found the mark.
The referee, who was as poor as anyone involved in the match can remember, decided to show two yellow cards for ‘dissent’ and ordered the player off the park without actually showing a red card.
The referee played a good advantage though as the ball flew across the goal mouth and there was the ever present MacDougall to notch his and Tarbert’s 4th goal of the match.
The introduction of Andy Guy sparked a late flurry of attacks but in the end Tarbert had little to show.
Every player did their ex-captain proud and will hope that this type of performance can continue for the remainder of the season.
The speedy striker ran through to the goal and his low shot found the net past the advancing keeper.
