Kintyre athletes selected for finals in Oban

There was a good field of contestants at the Argyll Sports Hall Athletics Kintyre meet on Sunday.
The under-11 girls’ contest was the most competitive and of a high standard with only two points between first and second overall.
The boys competed against more than 100 youngsters at Atlantis Leisure in Oban last Sunday, in the last in a series of competitions held across Argyll by Mid Argyll Athletic Club.
Up to 120 youngsters compete at Atlantis Leisure on Sunday, in what is billed to be an enthralling competition, and should register between 11am and 12noon on the day.
Trophies will be awarded to the overall winners and all competitors taking part will receive a medal with ribbon.
The Kintyre competition is planned for March, in the Victoria Hall, Campbeltown.
