The little bags of colour-coordinated baubles, beads and trimmings soon started to transform into impressive festive creations.
‘That particular piece took about six months to complete because it wasn’t pre-drawn on canvas so I had to copy a map.’
Quizmaster Helen Steel fired a range of general knowledge questions to visitors from around Kintyre.
‘Under the expert guidance of tutor, and local member, Nora Parkinson, the ladies made some beautiful earrings.’

The next Largieside SWI meeting on October 18, to which all are welcome, includes a make-up demonstration.
‘It was a wonderful day out as the weather was glorious, the company great and the journey very pleasant.’
Helen Steel congratulated Pat Rawson who won the competition for literature at the SWI federation show in Dunoon.
An SWI spokesperson said: ‘The speaker for the evening was Largieside member Ann Clark who demonstrated making corsages.
