The band has had to learn a whole range of new tunes for this year’s competitions as they have been promoted up to the Novice A section.
The band is replacing the festival parade which has been postponed this year as there were not enough floats and participants.
Kintyre Schools Novice B band, the top band from a non-fee-paying school, gave a great performance.
On Sunday morning, pipers John McGeachy and teenager Calum McKillop, roused the town, at 6am, with Battles O’er and In Flanders Fields.
