Gardeners who had a surplus from this year’s sowings, cuttings or divisions brought them along to share, while those who hadn’t had much success could benefit
Tesco has provided the fruit, free of charge, every two weeks since August.
In a bid to push forward their agenda, members have started a fruit tuck shop on Fridays.
A Whitehouse Grow and Show spokesperson said: ‘This is a wonderful opportunity to bring our communities together.’
