Girls enjoy friendly football fixture
The girls has lots of fun and showed great sportsmanship.
‘The boys will welcome your support and hopefully this is the first step back to competitive football again for a village that has a proud heritage in amateur football’
Campbeltown Pupils paid the price for a lethargic start last Saturday when they fell to a 4-1 defeat at home to Harmony Row
‘This will be our 30th fixture of the season, including 16 away trips in league and cup combined.’
While frustrated at not taking all three points, the Pupils can take heart from an energetic and creative team performance
The Pupils will be hoping to continue their away day joy from two weeks ago when they secured a 2-1 victory at Glenvale.
While the day was organised to give the young footballers some fun and experience, it produced some good results, with the Campbeltown sides coming home unbeaten
‘I saw all the Scottish football teams in the paper, with all their colours, and I thought it would be a good idea for a blanket’
The Pupils had to settle for a point, which was well earned and perhaps a fair reflection on the match, but tinged with disappointment after leading for so much of the game
The first half started a very even affair, with both teams playing some good football but neither really threatening to make the breakthrough.
