Calls for a ‘lifeline’ ferry link between Campbeltown and Ardrossan will be discussed once again by a Scottish Parliament committee next week
A Scottish Parliament petitions committee is to write to the Scottish Government about a ‘lifeline’ ferry link between Campbeltown and Ardrossan.
‘We need a full-time alternative link and now is the time for the Scottish Government to deliver it.’
‘I look forward to backing Argyll First’s petition when the Scottish Parliament petitions committee meets’
‘I am delighted that the petition now has the backing of the full council along with MSPs from across the political spectrum’
‘This is the last opportunity to sign up, comment and share this petition’
‘We feel that it is important to emphasise that this is at the very early stages in a process which could take quite a considerable time to reach a conclusion’
‘The A83 is the priority but the ferry link would greatly assist our communities and businesses in the months and years ahead’
This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we need to put forward the best possible case for the ferry service.
