On Saturday, November 20, fundraising warrior Emelie Willis will walk from her Campbeltown home, past Dalintober and down to the War Memorial where she will complete as many laps as possible.
‘Every nominee and winner thoroughly deserved the recognition for their wonderful contributions to our community but special mention must go to Cheryl for coming up with the idea for the awards and pulling everything together to make it such a special night’
The tot presented a cheque for £1,104.96 to Richard Cameron, Campbeltown’s area convenor for Poppyscotland.
Poppy Appeal fundraising efforts also took place alongside the simple but moving acts of remembrance
‘I would like to walk to the soldier bench to make money for soldiers like my Granda Jackie and Uncle Stuarty.’
Two-year-old Emelie Willis and her six-week-old baby brother George have sent fundraising her Captain Tom a 100th birthday card.
