On a day that started cool, yet sunny and fresh, but warmed up as the day progressed, 14 ladies took to the course at Dunaverty Golf Club
Playing for the Conniglen Cup, 25 players vied for the title with some returning their best rounds of the season so far
Playing partners Elizabeth Marrison and Katharine Hardman had a good steady round and both carded a par round of nett 65 to set the pace.
The team of Campbell MacBrayne, Grant Edmondson and Duncan Watson III proved too strong for the rest and returned a fantastic score of nett 52.5 to win by four shots
The new competition was created in recognition of two legends of Dunaverty – Belle Robertson MBE and the late Jock MacVicar
Several players came close to the lead score throughout the day but none could catch the Southend lad who won his first trophy since returning to the club.
