Despite both teams’ efforts, the game finished level at 2-2
Calum Ellis dribbled through a maze of players before passing to Cameron McMillan from Carradale to score his first goal of the season.
Both teams played seven games and both won five, drew one and lost only one.
Some super statistics were revealed by coach David Paterson at the team’s first end of season prize giving last Friday in the Ardshield Hotel.
Liam Renton also spoke about how well the players had done, saying how very proud of their achievements he was.
CDJFA said: ‘Thanks to the continued support of the teams from Islay, Arran, Tarbert, Lochgilphead, Oban, Lochnell, Helensburgh, Ardencaple and Dumbarton Riverside.’
The annual matches managed by CDJFA will see 15 games on the go at one time.
This is the sixth away game in the 2005s last seven fixtures and represents a fantastic effort by everyone involved with the squad.
‘It costs around £25,000 a year to run youth football in Campbeltown, so this is a fantastic boost.’
