‘Once we have the pool back up and running we will then be able to focus on bringing you a race this autumn’
‘Once we have the pool back up and running we will then be able to focus on bringing you a race this autumn’
The popular race is typically run beside the Crinan Canal but it was held virtually this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic
Entrants can walk or run anywhere they like, as long as they stay local, stay safe and abide by lockdown rules.
From more than 80 pairs of running shoes strapped on for this year’s Crinan Puffer Kintyre man Dom Sharkey’s proved the quickest.
The race is organised by MACPool and is sponsored by Scottish Sea Farms Heart of the Community Trust. It is also supported by Mid Argyll businesses including the Co-op, Midton Acrylics and the Sweetie Jar.
WHILE the nation watched the marathon unfold in London, Kintyre athletes put on a fine show in Ardrishaig.
KINTYRE women runners cruised along the Crinan canal’s towpath as they dominated the annual Puffer race.
ENTRIES are selling out fast for the next big race on Argyll’s athletic calendar.
