We need to learn to respect each other and realise that we are all different, different in beliefs, colour, personalities, political convictions…
Any relaxation of rules could have a huge impact in making those figures rise.
We are called, all of us, to be part of that light and to be bearers of it into a dark and troubled world.
‘When is that moment when from darkness there comes light, when it can really be said the gloom has passed and brightness is here?’
For people of faith, the ultimate hope is in the God who is the source of life and who Christians believe came to earth in Jesus to show us the way forward.
Perhaps more needs to be done to help mental health charities to ensure they can continue to help those most in need through one of the most difficult times of our lives.
Too many people to name individually have proven that they are worthy of being titled heroes.
Dreaming and aspiring for better days is not wrong but let us not miss today while waiting for change.
We enter 2021 still battling Covid-19 but there is a lot to look forward to.
