Dancing shoes at the ready for MOKFest Ceilidh Night

The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival (MOKFest) Ceilidh Night on Friday August 19 will once again feature some of the best Scottish ceilidh and concert bands, joined by a great selection of local musicians.

The ceilidh set this year will be performed by the fantastic Fiobha Ceilidh Band making its debut at this year’s event, as are six-piece traditional band Cala which will play the concert set.

The popular Dalriada Connections Band, featuring local and visiting musicians, joined by students and tutors from Campbeltown Grammar School, will follow on from Kintyre Schools Pipe Band which make a welcome return to open the evening following a performance at the head of the Old Quay.

Fiobha Ceilidh Band is based in Perthshire and Fife with musicians from across Scotland and will have local musician Alex Wotherspoon in its line-up for a full ceilidh experience.

The band’s reputation is growing fast. It is known for playing with a modern energetic flare sure to get you on the dance floor, so don’t forget your dancing shoes.
