A Campbeltown festival would not be complete without at least one performance from Rhuvaal, a must-see band on the national festival scene since it was formed in 2015.

Organisers of the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival (MOKFest) are delighted to have the band performing at two of the main concerts this year, the Glen Scotia West Coast Rocks Concert on Saturday August 20 and Survivors Night on Sunday August 21.

Rhuvaal are a young, fun and energetic traditional band based in Argyll, with three members hailing from Kintyre.

The band has grown and developed over the past eight years into a group of enthusiastic young adults who are making a huge impression on the traditional music scene in Scotland.

Supported by an ever-increasing, loyal fanbase, the band continues to grow in popularity and experience, playing at festivals all over Scotland and supporting various bands including Skipinnish, Tide Lines and Mànran.

This year, the band has added new members to the group and now performs as a six-piece at festivals and events.

Tickets for all this year’s MOKFest concerts, which also feature Elephant Sessions, Trail West, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham, Fìobha Ceilidh Band, Brian McNeill, Calum Alex MacMillan with Ross Martin and Slainte Davaar Allstars, are available from AP Taylor, Main Street, Campbeltown, or online at www.ticketweb.com.
