The sun shone as players competed for Campbeltown Bowling Club’s Platinum Jubilee Pairs prizes.

The Friday June 3 competition used a slightly different format to normal, with everyone taking a turn to lead and to skip in a six-end knockout competition.

The eventual winners were George Reid and Archie Johnston, with Stevie Wyper and Ryan McLachlan runners up.

‘Well done everyone that played and thanks to Alan and Katie McSporran and helpers for the burgers and hotdogs and also thanks to Joe McLean for his disco,’ said a club spokesperson.
