Failure to stop

The driver of a white pick-up allegedly failed to stop and give details or report an accident after colliding with another vehicle as they passed each other on the A83 near Tayinloan, at about 4.40pm on Monday May 2.

Dangerous driving

A white van was allegedly driven onto a public pavement outside the Taj Mahal restaurant in Bowmore, Islay, at about 6.15pm on Monday May 2, causing pedestrians to take evasive action to avoid being struck.

Drunk driving

At about 11pm on Sunday May 8, at North Bay, Port Ellen, Islay, police saw a vehicle in a field, with people nearby. A man was charged with drink driving and released on a police undertaking after allegedly failing a breath test after being identified as the driver of the vehicle.
