Campbeltown Pupils’ under-12 girls welcomed a team of Lochgilphead Red Star girls for morning of fun friendlies at Meadows Playing Field last Sunday.

‘The girls had so much fun – lots of giggles and great sportsmanship shown from all – and some lovely football was played,’ said a spokesperson.

‘It is fantastic and exciting to watch this section grow.

‘The girls look forward to the return in two weeks’ time when they make their way to Lochgilphead.

‘Thank you Stuart Crossan, Kathleen Nelson, Rachel MacPhail and Lesley Renton, along with the parents who helped carry in the goals, etc.

‘A special thank you Eilish Cameron, Dougie Renton and Stephen Gorman for being officials on the day, and Lindsay MacPhail for time-keeping and the ladies for the tea and coffee and all the hospitality provided.’
