Conditions were a bit choppier than they were in sheltered Campbeltown Loch when ten members of South and West Kintyre Wile n Mild Swimmers club took to the sea at Peninver on New Year’s Day.

North Atlantic Ocean waves battered the hardy souls who took to the sea for a refreshing dook.

But the swimmers, who brave Kintyre’s seas all throughout the year and are used to battling the worst elements of nature, took it in their stride.
