Two women have been arrested in connection with the filming of a viral video allegedly showing three Campbeltown police officers engaging in sex acts.

Police Scotland launched an investigation in November after footage of the officers, who were off duty at the time of the recording, was widely circulated online.

It is believed to have been filmed from a town centre flat opposite the property in which the officers were located.

In December, it was revealed that the three officers – two men and a woman, aged 43, 23 and 23 respectively – were to be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with an alleged public indecency.

This week, in relation to the filming of the video, a Police Scotland spokesperson told the Courier: ‘Two women were arrested and have been released. Enquiries are ongoing.’
