You could be forgiven for thinking this photograph was taken in a far-off tropical location but it was actually taken at Campbeltown’s bus terminus in November.
Catherine Dobbie, who submitted the image, said: ‘They are yuccas and this is the first time we have seen them flower – it is seemingly very unusual for them to flower outdoors in our climate.
‘Maybe a combination of the good summer and the volunteers’ green fingers has helped!’
