Speeding driver

A 21-year-old man was charged with speeding after the vehicle he was driving was stopped on the A83 at Glenbarr, at about 10.30am on Wednesday November 17, by police carrying out speed checks.

Woman assaulted

A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting a woman at an address in Burnbank Street, Campbeltown, at 12pm on Wednesday November 17.

Motoring offences

Police stopped a vehicle in Hall Street, Campbeltown, at about 7.15pm on Friday November 19 and found that the driver, a 53-year-old man, was driving without the consent of the vehicle’s owner and without insurance. He was charged with the offences.

Breach of the peace

A 23-year-old man was arrested and issued with a fixed penalty notice for a breach of the peace after allegedly acting in a disorderly manner by attempting to instigate fights with customers at The Feathers Inn, Campbeltown, and acting in an aggressive manner towards police officers, at about 12.15am on Saturday November 20.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on any incidents to phone 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
