Kintyre Agricultural Society will be holding its annual ploughing match tomorrow (Saturday, November 20) at Bleachfield Farm, Campbeltown.

‘It was thought that because of Covid regulations, there would be no 2021 ploughing match but we decided to try and organise one and we have been offered a field at Bleachfield,’ said John Armour, the society’s secretary.

‘So, eight months later than normal, we are delighted be having a competition tomorrow, starting at 10am.

‘We would ask everyone, including competitors, to observe current Covid guidance and anyone who has been in contact with someone who has tested positive to ensure that they have completed the isolation period required and taken a lateral flow test before attending. Face coverings must be worn in any enclosed spaces.’
