At 10.30am on Monday October 25, police responded to a report of a woman causing a disturbance at an address in Kirk Street, Campbeltown, throwing household items out the window onto the street below, to the fear and alarm of her neighbours. A woman identified as being responsible was arrested and charged.
No insurance
At 6.35pm on Monday October 25 in Kinloch Road, Campbeltown, police carrying out routine checks on a vehicle found that it did not have a valid insurance policy in place. The driver, a 67-year-old man, was charged with the offence.
Drugs possession
Police searched an address in Big Kiln Street, Campbeltown, at about 11.55am on Tuesday October 26, and found the occupant, a 51-year-old man, in possession of a quantity of herbal cannabis. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Abusive behaviour
Two men, aged 56 and 38, were arrested and charged after allegedly acting in a threatening or abusive manner and assaulting people at a bed and breakfast in Tarbert at about 10.30pm on Tuesday October 26.
Drink driving
A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly crashing a vehicle, for which there was not a valid insurance policy in place, into a ditch at Bridgend, Islay, at about 4.35pm on Monday October 25, and later failing a roadside breath test.
