Campbeltown Pupils 2009s 3
Campsie 2009s 5
GADYFL – Under 13s

Despite a promising start, Campbeltown Pupils 2009s went down 5-3 to Campsie 2009s at the 3G pitch on Kinloch Green last Sunday.

In an ideal start, the home side took the lead in the first minute when Green’s pace saw him run clear through on goal to slot past the keeper.

Campsie, however, soon fought their way back into the game, playing some neat possession football, and a deserved equaliser was followed by a short corner routine and great finish to take a 2-1 lead.

The Pupils made it 2-2 when, after Green’s initial shot was saved, the rebound came off a defender to bounce into the empty net.

Unfortunately for the Pupils, this was not the game’s only own goal and, just before the break, one from the home team gave the visitors a 3-2 half-time lead.

The second half saw Campsie continue with their passing game and eventually scoring two more goals to take the score to 5-2.

The young Pupils continued to press and compete to the end, and another late run from Green saw him score again with a tidy finish to make the final score 5-3.

This Sunday the under-13s are away to Dumbarton Utd.

Celebrating one of the Pupils’ goals.
