Keith Wilson from Heather Lea on the Isle of Gigha took this stunning image at a remote spot on the island’s coastline on Monday October 4.
It shows one of a family of otters that lives on Gigha going for a dip in a freshwater pool.
Keith looked for a likely spot for otters to visit and set up his Campark T80 camera in expectation and his efforts were well rewarded.
As well as otters, this spot also attracted geese, a heron, a mink, a young buzzard and a variety of small birds.
