Woman assaulted

A 34-year-old man was interviewed by police but later released without charge after a woman was allegedly assaulted in Davaar Avenue, Campbeltown, on Tuesday September 14.

Careless driving

A grey Vauxhall Insignia car was allegedly driven in a careless manner on the A83 near Clachan, causing a collision between another car and a heavy goods vehicle at about 4.45pm on Tuesday September 21. Police attended and a 20-year-old woman was charged with careless driving.

Herbal cannabis

An 18-year-old man was found in possession of a small amount of herbal cannabis when he was stopped and searched by police near Hall Street, Campbeltown, at about 9.30pm on Tuesday September 21. He was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.

Window smashed

Police are appealing for witnesses after the outer pane of a living room window in Davaar Avenue, Campbeltown, was smashed at about 5pm on Wednesday September 22.

Dangerous driving

A 46-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving in a dangerous manner while carrying out an overtake manoeuvre on the B842 near Campbeltown, at about 3pm on Thursday September 23. The vehicle he was driving allegedly struck a van, causing it to lose control and land on its side.

Vehicle damaged

At about 5.20pm on September 23, near Tayinloan, a campervan was damaged when its driver’s side wing mirror and door were struck by a lorry which failed to stop and report the collision.

ISLAY

Anti-social driving

A 21-year-old man was issued with an anti-social behaviour warning after a car was  seen being driven in an anti-social manner near The Square, Bowmore, Islay, at about 2.35am on Tuesday September 14.

Cattle killed

A blue Peugeot car was allegedly seen being driven in a careless manner near Cultoon Farm, Islay, at about 7.45pm on Tuesday September 21, colliding with and causing death and injury to cattle. The male driver was later charged with failing to report a road traffic collision and for careless driving.

Vehicle damaged

At about 2pm on September 24, on Main Street, Bowmore, Islay, the rear bumper of a red Peugeot car was damaged by a grey, potentially Fiat, car reversing into it. The grey car failed to stop and report the collision and was  seen being driven away in the direction of the harbour and School Street.
