Argyll and Bute MSP Jenni Minto is calling on all those with in interest in social care to participate in the Scottish Government consultation on the establishment of a National Care Service.

‘The proposed reforms around social care represents the most significant piece of public service reform to be proposed by the Scottish Government,’ said Ms Minto.

‘The implementation of the recommendations of the Independent Review of Adult Social Care, and particularly the establishment of a National Care Service is an opportunity to address some of the challenges across social care highlighted before and during the pandemic.

‘Whether you represent a social care organisation, work in social care, are a service user or have family/friends who are, I would encourage you to participate in this consultation and help to gather as wide and reflective a range of views as possible.’

The consultation is open until November 2 and can be accessed on the Scottish Government’s website at www.gov.scot/publications/national-care-service-scotland-consultation/
