Great things come from small beginnings and that is hopefully the case for the more than 50 pupils who took their first step into the world of education in Kintyre in August.

These photographs show the P1 pupils attending the peninsula’s primary schools, apart from Clachan Primary School which had no new starts this year, looking picture perfect.

Understandably, there were some absences on picture day so some of the youngsters missed getting to smile for the photographers, who this year, in light of Covid restrictions, were staff from the schools rather than the Courier.
