After an incredible community fundraising effort, a piece of inclusive play equipment has been ordered for Jock’s Adventure Playground.

It comes less than 14 weeks after Campbeltown mum Iona MacLean launched her campaign to raise £25,000 to purchase the adapted swing-set.

It is expected to be installed at the council-owned playpark in about 10 to 12 weeks, with Councillor Donald Kelly trying to arrange for a local contractor to shift the fencing to accommodate the new equipment.

‘I can’t thank Donald enough for all his help,’ Iona said, ‘because without a doubt it wouldn’t have happened without him. Also thanks to Catherine Dobbie at Campbeltown Community Council for all her assistance.

‘I can’t wait to see the equipment in use and see the positive impact it’s going to bring to so many children.’
