On Tuesday July 20, in the Co-op in Campbeltown, a female allegedly stole some items from within the store. Police are carrying out enquiries and have identified a person in relation to this crime, who will be spoken to in due course.

Careless Driving

About 10.30am on Tuesday July 20, on the A83 near Whitehouse, a car was in a collision with another vehicle after reportedly driving across the central white line. All those involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, and a 52-year-old man was charged with careless driving. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

No Insurance

About 2.20pm on Monday July 12, a quad bike was stopped by police for a routine check, on the A83 at Kilkenzie, Campbeltown. The driver, a 27-year-old man, was charged with having with no insurance for the vehicle. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drunk Driver

About 10.30pm on Monday July 19 a car was found to have crashed into a ditch on Kintra Road, near Port Ellen. Subsequently a 45-year-old woman was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
