Cannabis possession

A 37-year-old man was issued with a recordable police warning after he was found in possession of cannabis when he was stopped by police in Witchburn Road, Campbeltown, at about 9am on Wednesday June 23.

Man assaulted

Two men were arrested after allegedly assaulting another man in Hillside Road, Campbeltown, at about 1am on Sunday June 27. One of the men, aged 28, was charged with serious assault while other enquiries are ongoing.

Alcohol stolen

Police are appealing for help in identifying someone who allegedly entered a property near the pier in Carradale at about 5.35pm on Monday June 21 and stole some alcohol.

Substances seized

A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed near the Sound of Kintyre at 12.50pm on Wednesday June 23. A number of items were seized during the search, some of which are to be tested under suspicion of being a controlled substance. Police are continuing to carry out enquiries and no one has been arrested yet.

Abusive behaviour

A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with behaving in an abusive manner towards a woman in Mansefield Road, Port Ellen, Islay, at about 9pm on Monday June 21.
