JOHNSTON – ANDERSON – Sylvia and Drew are delighted with the safe arrival of their daughter Aila Anderson on June 9, 2021. First grandchild for Kay and Iain and third for Fiona, Wullie and David, Paisley.
GUY – HEPBURN – At Loch Melfort Hotel on Saturday, June 12, 2021, Alan, youngest son of Ian and Alison to Rebecca, daughter of Neil and Jane, Lochgilphead. A special day.
JOHNSTONE – Peacefully at home, Auchencorvie, Campbeltown, on June 18, 2021, Maragaret Hope Walker (Hope) in her 80th year, dearly beloved wife of Ewan Johnstone, much loved mum of David, Judy and Fraser, loving granny of Sarah, William, Amy, Calum, Charlotte, Emma, Eilidh and Andrew and a beloved sister of Frances. Funeral service private in line with current government guidelines. Hope’s funeral will take place today Friday, June 25. The cortege will leave Southend Church at 1.00pm, we will travel, Southend Village on our way to Keil Cemetery. Anyone wishing to pay their last respects to Hope may do so along our route. Please remember to observe social distancing.
MCMILLAN – Suddenly but peacefully at Islay Hospital on Sunday, June 20, 2021, William Boyd McMillan late of Eorrabus Farm, Bridgend, Islay. Dearly loved husband of Patricia, loving father to William, Peter and Kenny. Much loved Granda Bill.
ROBERTSON – Peacefully with his daughter by his side at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, on June 2, 2021, Ian Robertson, aged 82 years, of 84 Roading, Campbeltown, dearly beloved husband of the late Margaret McKechnie, much loved dad of Margaret and a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.
SMYLIE – Suddenly, but peacefully, at Lorn and Islands Hospital, after a short illness, on June 22, 2021, Douglas Smylie, aged 76 years, of 8 Coille Mhinnean, Furnace, Argyll. Much loved husband of Alma. Adored Dad of Maureen, John and Aileen. Much respected father-in-law of David, Trisha and Surry. Cherished Papa of Matthew, Rachael and Kieran. Dear brother, uncle and cousin to all the family. A good neighbour, dear friend and popular work colleague to many. Much respected member of the local and wider communities. A private family service will be held at Cumlodden Parish Church on Monday, June 28, 2021. Thereafter the interment will take place at Kilevin Cemetery, Crarae at 12:45pm. Donations can be made in memory of Douglas to Macmillan Nurses Mid-Argyll – directly or via Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors.
