Tarbert Golf Club’s members gathered at Glenralloch last Saturday in glorious conditions, overhead and on the course, to compete for their respective medals.

Sheena Ferguson took the honours in the ladies’ event with 58 followed by Georgie Dickson on 61 and Angela Vernel on 64 (bih).

In the gents’ section, it was Chris McArthur who romped in with a nett 56 to leave the rest of the field trailing in his wake.

The usual suspects were next; Bruce McLean on 61 and Peter McLean jnr on 63.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the Harbour Gallery gents’ open takes place when locals and visitors will gather for the coveted event.

The club is forever grateful to Stuart Herd for his continued support.

Impressive youngster Connor McCrae headed to Glenbervie Golf Club last Sunday for his first stroke play event in the Stephen Gallacher Foundation event.

A delighted Connor took third place with 49, only one shot behind the winner on 48. This week, he heads to Machrihanish Golf Club for the first round of the Junior Championship.
