Campbeltown Farmers Market saw an increase in stalls on Saturday with many selling out as shoppers made the most of some fine Autumn weather.

The monthly retail event has continued relentlessly this year, providing welcome, locally-sourced produce for the community, with seven pitches booked for last weekend’s market in the Royal Hotel Yard.

Chairman Andrew Gemmell, from Ifferdale Farm near Carradale, said: ‘It was great to see so many stalls selling a wide variety of goods last Saturday.

‘It was a really nice day and there was a good atmosphere.’

Among the goods on offer were cheese, lamb, beef, fruit and veg and home baking as well as knitted goods at the Cancer Research UK stall.

The market will be in Lochgilphead this Saturday and returns to Campbeltown on Saturday, December 5. Contact Andrew at or 01583 431 666 to reserve a space.
