Speeding and illegal tyres

A motorist was stopped on the A83 at Campbeltown, at about 6.45pm on Tuesday October 6, for allegedly exceeding the speed limit. The car was also allegedly found to have two tyres with tread depth below the legal limit. The driver, a 24-year-old man, was charged.

No insurance

At about 9am on Friday October 9, a car was stopped by police for a routine check, on Millknowe, Campbeltown. Checks revealed that there was allegedly no insurance in force for the vehicle and the driver, a 25-year-old man was charged with the offence. The owner of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man, was also charged with allegedly allowing the driver to drive the vehicle without insurance.


Checks revealed that a vehicle stopped by police on Campbeltown Esplanade at about 2.20pm on Sunday October 11 allegedly had an expired MOT and the driver, a 48-year-old woman, was charged and issued with a £100 fixed penalty.
