Cannabis possession

A 31-year-old man who was stopped and searched by police at about 8.30pm on Wednesday September 30, in Longrow, Campbeltown, was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis. He was charged and issued with a recordable police warning.

Abusive behaviour

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged after allegedly behaving in an abusive manner at about 3.50am on Thursday October 1, in Harvey’s Lane, Campbeltown.

Man assaulted

A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting a man at about 6.20am on Thursday October 1, in Longrow, Campbeltown.

Breach of conditions

A 28-year-old man was arrested at about 1.15pm on Thursday October 1, in Kirk Street, Campbeltown, for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner. He was charged with the offence and released on an undertaking with conditions not to contact the other people involved. Subsequently, at about 3.15pm on Friday October 2, the man was arrested and charged for allegedly contacting one of the people involved in the original incident.

Vandalism

Police are investigating and appealing for witnesses after a bench, roofing and a gate at at Port Ellen Primary School on Islay were damaged between 4pm on Friday September 25 and 8am on Monday September 28.

Abusive behaviour

Police are investigating and appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly behaved in an abusive manner towards another man within the Co-op supermarket in Main Street, Bowmore, Islay, at about 6.45pm on Saturday September 26.
