The second round of the A MacNab Memorial took place at Tarbert Golf Club on Saturday July 18, with a tightly bunched group in contention.

Lewis Preston emerged from the pack with 42 Stableford points to give him a total of 74 points.

Second equal were Archie Black and David Ronald on 72.

Other notable scores on the day came from Malcolm McAlpine with 40 points and Peter Cupples on 37.

This Saturday sees the Fishermen’s Cup take place with teams of two taking part in a greensome Stableford.

Last weekend, the Tarbert ladies competed for the July medal with Georgie Dickson taking first place with a nett 76. Helen Samborek was next with 78 and Sheena Ferguson was third on 84.
