Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is on cloud nine after receiving a £7,000 boost thanks to Campbeltown’s Helen Gilchrist and her online lockdown quizzes.

Helen, who will donate a further £7,000 of the more than £14,000 raised to local causes, made the donation in memory of local paramedic Robert Black who died after contracting coronavirus.

Nick Harvey, director of fundraising and communications with SCAA, said: ‘Helen has proved that lockdown is no barrier to having fun and raising funds and we are extremely grateful to everyone who has taken part and supported SCAA.’
