Kintyre is lucky to have its very own 100-mile long-distance route, covering an ever-changing landscape ranging from hills to shores and forests to lochs, with views of all the islands around the peninsula.

The Kintyre Way is a fantastic resource on the doorstep, a place to walk, run, cycle or horse ride. It showcases local history with castles, an abbey, standing stones and much more.

But to keep it that way the Kintyre Way needs your help from today, June 5, to July 16.

Public support will help to secure funding from the Calor Rural Community Support Fund. Calor and Crowdfunder have provided a project page for each of the projects – every like and share on the Kintyre Way project page secures two points and for every donation pledged on the Crowdfunder link, 10 points are received, regardless of the size of the donation although each person can only donate one.

In the current climate people may be watching what they spend, but a donation of just £1 is all that’s needed to secure the 10 points. Topping the points chart with Calor keeps the Kintyre Way in with a chance of £2,500 from the Calor Fund.
