The future looks bright for a young folk-based traditional band originating from Kintyre with the release of its debut EP, titled Horizon, looming.
Originating as a school ceilidh band in 2015, Rhuvaal has grown and developed over the past five years into a band full of enthusiasm to make an impression on the traditional music scene.
After an overload of summer festivals in 2019, Rhuvaal which consists of five members – Arran McAllister, Raymond Gosling, Alex Wotherspoon, Kate MacPherson and Bronwen Davies – spent the winter months preparing and writing material for the release of their extended play record.
Each of the band’s members has added their own musical background and style to the each of the recordings, creating a unique and vibrant sound on the four-track EP.
It features the band’s debut single, The Harbour, which shows another aspect of Rhuvaal and brings a different finish to the EP.
A brand new music video for the single, filmed at the beginning of 2020, can be viewed on all of the band’s social media platforms, as well as on its website – www.rhuvaalband.com
Horizon is now available to pre-order on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music and those who pre-order the EP will receive Rhuvaal’s debut single straight away. Horizon will then officially go on sale from midnight on Friday May 15. Hard copies of the EP are available to buy from the band’s website.
