Machrihanish Airbase Community Company (MACC), which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, has announced the early opening of its charitable giving fund to support community organisations during the coronavirus crisis.

The fund will prioritise those organisations actively working to support those most in need during the current pandemic.

MACC has been supporting the local efforts during the crisis by providing support and assistance to the local NHS, Campbeltown Community Business and the Kintyre Community Resilience Group as well as MACC Developments Ltd staff volunteering to assist local businesses with food deliveries.

It is also planned that the charitable giving fund will distribute again at the end of the summer so organisations requiring further support will have an opportunity to receive it at that point.

The charitable giving fund opened on April 30. Organisations are limited to £1,000 per application and must meet basic criteria. Application forms are available from the downloads section of MACC’s website at and also by emailing

All application forms should be returned by email or posted to 79 MACC Business Park, Campbeltown, Argyll, PA28 6NU, by May 18 with decisions expected in June.

Anyone with questions is welcome to contact MACC by emailing or telephoning 07767 165917.
