At a time where accurate information about Covid-19 was vital to our community, this was the right decision – even though it meant a drop in our income. Police Scotland have confirmed the identity of the man who died in a road crash on the B842, south of Stewarton, at the weekend.
Ian Smith, 30, of Campbeltown was involved in a crash with another car but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred at around 5pm on Saturday January 18.
Sergeant Nicola Taylor of Argyll and West Dumbarton Road Policing, said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Smith at this difficult time.
‘Enquiries are ongoing into the crash and I would ask for the public’s assistance with our investigation.
‘If anyone was in the area at the time of the crash, or has any dashcam footage that can assist us, please get in contact.
‘I would like to thank everyone who has helped with our enquiries so far.’
