Careless driving charge

A car was stopped by police after it was allegedly seen to be driven in a careless manner and at excessive speed at about 5.50pm on Friday December 27, on the A83 near Glenbarr.

The 58-year-old male driver was charged with careless driving.

Child not wearing seat belt

A 47-year-old man was charged and issued with a £100 fixed penalty ticket after the car he was driving was stopped by police at about 1.40pm on Friday January 3, on Kinloch Road, Campbeltown, and there was a child not wearing a seat belt.

Sheep attacked

A dog or dogs allegedly attacked and injured sheep in a field at Dalmore Farm, Tayinloan, between noon on Friday January 3 and 2.30pm on Saturday January 4, resulting in one sheep being killed and 11 others injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information on the above or any incident to phone 101 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Death of man

The 45-year-old man who was injured as a result of the fire in Saddell Street, Campbeltown on December 21, subsequently died on December 30.
