Love was well and truly in the air at Dalintober Primary School in recent weeks.

Delivering on the theme of this year’s school show, which was titled ‘From Dalintober, with love’, pupils performed an array of songs all about having affection for others.

The selections ranged in age and style, from the likes of Freddie Mercury’s I Was Born to Love You, and Love Me Do by The Beatles, to When Love Takes Over by David Guetta, and Somebody to You by The Vamps and Demi Levato.

This year there were four showings – two for the P1 to P3 classes, and two for the P4 to P7 classes.

An extra special feature this year was the inclusion of British Sign Language (BSL) during P3M’s performance.

The class has been learning BSL under the guidance of teacher, Erin McManus, and parent and BSL tutor, Martine Craig.

The school is working on gaining BSL-friendly status, towards which Martine has provided a lot of support.

Head teacher Caroline Armour said: ‘I am very proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm of our pupils and staff in putting this show together and performing it to four sell-out audiences.

‘It is representative of the support and love we have within Dalintober itself and across our school community.’
