A group of generous crafters has made its latest charitable donation – this time to Kintyre’s local community care team.

Nimble Fingers recently presented a cheque for £500 to representatives from the team.

To raise the money, the group held a craft fair in Campbeltown Town Hall on November 9 at which there was a raffle and a tombola. To further boost funds, there was another raffle and a ‘guess the birthday’ fundraiser at the Coop on November 28.

The community care team was chosen as the recipient of the money in honour of the group’s fellow crafter and retired auxiliary May Potts who died of lung cancer earlier this year, in whose memory the events were held.

Kate O’May of Kate’s Krafts said: ‘The dedication, devotion and care from the team helped her so much, so we wanted to give something back to say thank you.’
