It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Tayinloan Village Hall when Largieside SWI members enjoyed making their own luxury Christmas baubles.

The workshop at their November meeting was led by Denise McKeown who had thoughtfully prepared individual kits containing everything needed to create one of her stunning designs.

Under her guidance, the little bags of colour-coordinated baubles, beads and trimmings soon started to transform into impressive festive creations while Denise kept everyone entertained as she described how she had developed her hobby, working out the best materials and methods to use and the best sources.

After the workshop, Enid Williams, on behalf of the members, thanked Denise for her generosity, and patience, in sharing her skills and for taking the time to prepare the kits in advance.

The seasonal theme continued with the November completion with results as follows: Handmade Christmas decoration: Tricia Johnstone, Linda Hutchinson, five points; Enid Williams, Adrienne Bradley, Cath Lowe, four points; Jessie Main, three points. Iced gingerbread loaf: Linda Hutchinson, five points; Helen Steel, Amanda White, four points; Cath Lowe, three points.
